(i) Kahtein Festival

Kahtein refers to the ceremony during which yellow robes called matho thingan are offered to the sangha between the first waning day of Thadingyut (approximately October) and the full moon day of Tazaungmon (approximately November) in the Burmese calendar. The Hotel @ Tharabar Gate is always used to celecbrate Kathina Festival by contribution of B.O.D, Management and staff. During the Kathina festival, staff decorate for Kathein tree, well dressed (traditional costume) and entertain the audience with traditional dances such as famous U Shwe Yoe and Daw Moe Dance.
