Ananda Annual Festival

Dear Guests,

For your information, the Ananda temple holds its annual pagoda festival, start from 7^th January 2020 to 21^st January 2020. This festival is one of the most famous pagoda festivals in Bagan.

The Ananda temple is just a few minutes’ walk from our hotel and definitely worth a visit.

At this time, the villagers from around Bagan come to the festival in traditional bullock carts and made camps for the whole duration of the festival.

The night’s e ntertainment includes musical amusement, dancing, singing , theatre and stand-up comedy. There will be a sea of local vendors/shops selling everything from traditional food to agricultural tools and souvenirs.

Entertainment Program: 

If you wish to participate and experience one of the most important ceremonies during your stay, it will hold on the Full Moon Day of Pyatho : Sunday, 9 January 2020 between 5.30am and 9am at the Ananda Temple. More than 1000 monks make their way between many thousands of donors lined up on both sides and all reverently offer their donations in the monk ’s hands”.

In the event of this festival, as a local way of life and tradition– “MUSIC” could be “loud” 24 hours and may disturb your resting. Our hotel will provide earplugs in the room and at the front desk at your convenience.
